The Wright brothers were quite possibly two of the greatest inventors that have ever lived.

Wilbur Wright, born in April of 1867, was a quiet but very smart boy.

On the contrary, his younger brother, Orville, was a troublemaker during his youth.

Their curiosity was endless, and they loved to experiment with technology.

飛行演進

  萊特兄弟於1903年成功地完成了世界上最早的動力飛行。但第一架成功離開陸地飛行的飛機,卻是由英國人喬治.凱利(George Cayley)創造出來的,他也被後人譽為『航空之父』。他曾多次改良滑翔機,並在1849年讓人坐著他的滑翔機升空。德國的奧圖‧李連塔(Otto Lilienthal)則根據鳥類的飛行方法,在1892至1897年間製造出十八架滑翔機,並進行上千次的滑翔實驗,可惜他不幸在一次飛行意外中喪命。這也讓萊特兄弟決定,需要研發出以引擎為動力的大型飛機,並找出更適合的控制方法。第一次世界大戰爆發之前,飛機僅用於運輸旅客、貨物及偵查敵情,但到了二次世界大戰間,飛機卻成為決定勝敗的主要關鍵,這或許是當初萊特兄弟所始料未及的。

ever 不可隨意用在肯定句中,常見用法如下:
1.在肯定句中與最高級形容詞並用:
若名詞前有最高級形容詞加以修飾時,其後常接由關係代名詞 that 引導的含現在完成式之形容詞子句,此時完成式助動詞 have/has 之後經常可加 ever 予以強調。例:
Ned is the kindest person I've ever met.(奈德是我遇過最和善的人。)
2.與 if 子句並用。例:
I wonder if you've ever heard this song.(不知道你有沒有聽過這首歌。)
3.與疑問句並用。例:
Have you ever been to Spain ?(你曾去過西班牙嗎?)
